Still on the subject of magnificent French design...

Look at these incredibly sweet, sexy and alluring shop signs.
So special, so endearing, so typically Paris!
The doll sign is from Paris Parfait
The Lingerie sign is from monkeyiron @ flickr
The next 6 signs are from The Paris Apartment.

Those are such lovely signs... and quaint and charming too. Don't we all love everything that's French.

They're so classy and elegant.

How lovely to stumble on your blog and these French entries!

i'm French and live in Spain which I love but I reckon I miss Paris at times.

ah..Le of the oldest cafés in Paris :-)

A bientôt!

ps: is French style innate? I don't know but this is what Christian Lacroix suggested in a recent interview.

What a fun subject! You've got some wonderful photos here of great signs! I recently was watching a travel program that was showing a place in europe where they were required to have signs with illustrations on them. It was left over from centuries ago when not everyone was literate and they had to go by the illustrations on the sign posts. Great post!
